Santiago ceramics experience: create your own piece

Are you looking for a creative plan in the city? Live our Santiago ceramic experience and enjoy a two-hour activity designed to help you disconnect from daily stress. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never touched clay; Our workshop is designed for beginners and curious minds of all ages who want to explore their most artistic side in a welcoming and relaxed environment.

In this workshop you will learn the fundamental techniques of manual modeling. You can model a unique piece, such as a personalized mug, small bowl or olive bowl, while exploring textures and shapes. Additionally, we will use slips to decorate your creation with vibrant colors before it goes through the oven. It is a proposal open to everyone: you can come and enjoy the experience individually, with someone special or in a group. It is a plan that fits perfectly to share with friends, family or simply to give yourself quality time in a creative environment. No previous experience is required, just a desire to experiment with mud.

Vermouth and relaxation in our artist workshop

What makes this activity special is the combination of crafts and local gastronomy. While you work with your hands, you can enjoy a drink served directly in the studio by an emblematic  establishment in the area. It is not a closed menu: you can choose between a classic vermouth, a cup of wine, a cold beer or non-alcoholic options such as coffee or soft drinks.

We want everyone to feel welcome, so we have alternatives for people with allergies, vegetarians and vegans. The idea is that the creation of the piece is a fluid and pleasant process, where conversation and a good atmosphere are as important as the clay.

Cooking and delivery process

Once the session is over, we take care of the heavy lifting. Your piece will undergo a first firing, after which we will apply a shiny transparent glaze so that it is completely utilitarian and safe for food use (you can put it in the dishwasher or microwave without fear). After a second firing, your work will be ready.

Approximately in 15 days you will be able to pick up your creation. This Santiago ceramic experience not only gives you a physical object made by you, but also the memory of an afternoon dedicated to learning an ancient craft. If you are passing through the city, we can also arrange shipping to your home so that your souvenir arrives safe and sound.

A space open to all ages

Our Santiago ceramic experience is designed to be inclusive and accessible. It doesn’t matter if you come to enjoy a moment of creative introspection or if you prefer to share the afternoon with someone special; The workshop environment invites calm and learning. Boys and girls from 8 years old are welcome, as long as they are accompanied by an adult who shares the activity with them.

For young people over 12 years old, we offer the possibility of attending autonomously, allowing them to develop their creativity under our supervision in the workshop. It is an excellent opportunity for the youngest to discover a craft, learn to handle slips and experience the satisfaction of creating something useful with their own hands from start to finish.

By booking any of our experiences or workshops, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions in their entirety. Our goal is to ensure the best possible organization and artistic quality for each session.

1. Booking and Confirmation of Place

To ensure the viability of our workshops, your place will only be considered guaranteed once payment has been confirmed . If the payment process is not completed, the system will automatically cancel the reservation to release the space.

2. Cancellation and Flexibility Policy

Our workshops have very limited capacity and require careful preparation of materials and staff. For this reason, we have established the following operating margin:

  • 7 calendar days’ prior notice (or more): If you notify us of your absence at least one week in advance, you will receive a Workshop Voucher for the full amount paid. This voucher is valid for one year and can be redeemed for any activity at our school.

  • Cancellations made less than 7 days in advance: No voucher or refund will be issued, as the time frame does not allow for reassignment of the place and the materials will have already been processed.

Courtesy note: However, if we have a waiting list and are able to fill your place with another student, or if last-minute vacancies arise in future editions of the same workshop, we will do our best to accommodate you. This is subject to availability and does not constitute a contractual obligation.

  • Right of Withdrawal: As these are activities with a specific date and execution period (Art. 103.l of the LGDCU), no monetary refunds will be accepted outside of the indicated deadlines.

3. Use of Workshop Vouchers and Vouchers

  • Redemption: Workshop Vouchers are valid for any activity available on the platform within their validity period.

  • Process: The redemption must be made through a new purchase process. For logistical reasons, it is not possible to purchase a gift voucher using a previous voucher.

  • Balance Management: If the voucher value is higher than the chosen workshop, the difference will be kept as a balance for future purchases. If the value is lower, the difference must be paid at the time of booking.

4. Organizational Commitments

If the workshop cannot be held due to circumstances beyond our control or because the minimum number of students is not reached, you can choose between:

  1. A full refund of the amount using the same original payment method.

  2. You can exchange it directly for another workshop of your interest available on our calendar.

5. Process Completion: Recogida de piezas cerámicas

In the pottery workshops, the process concludes with the retrieval of your finished piece. Once you receive notification that your pieces are ready:

  • You will have one calendar month to collect them from the studio.

  • Due to space limitations, any unclaimed items after this period will be recycled or donated, and the right to claim them later will be forfeited.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) – Workshops and Experiences

About the Experience

Do I need to have prior knowledge of ceramics? Not at all. Our experiences are designed so that anyone, regardless of their experience level, can enjoy and create. The teachers who teach the workshops and experiences will guide you step by step throughout the entire process.

What should I bring to the workshop? Just your desire to enjoy. In the studio we will provide you with all the necessary material, tools and apron. It is recommended to bring comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty (although the mud cleans up easily).

When can I pick up my piece? Ceramics have their times. After the workshop, the pieces must dry completely, go through a first firing (biscuit), be glazed and fired a second time. This process usually takes between 2 to 3 weeks. We will notify you as soon as they are ready to pick up.

How long do I have to pick up my piece once finished? Once you receive our notice that your pieces have gone through the two firings and are ready to be picked up, you have a period of 1 month natural to stop by the studio to pick them up.

Due to the space limitations of our workshop and the need to organize new works, if after that month the piece has not been collected, we will understand that you renounce it and we will proceed to give it other uses (donation, recycling or exhibition). We don’t want you to be left without your creation, so we recommend you come get it as soon as possible!

Gift Vouchers

They gave me an Experience Bonus, how do I redeem it? What a great gift! The process is very simple:

  1. Browse our website and choose the workshop or date you prefer.

  2. Start the purchasing process.

  3. Enter the your voucher code in the “Coupon” box at checkout. The amount will be automatically deducted.

How valid is my voucher? All our vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. We recommend you book in advance to ensure your place on the desired date.

Can I redeem my voucher for any workshop and/or experience? That’s right. Our bonuses are not linked to any specific workshop or experience. You can exchange them for any activity at our school that interests you (a monographic workshop, an intensive course, a continuing course, etc.). If the activity you want to sign up for has an amount greater than your voucher, you will only have to pay the difference. If the amount is less, the remaining balance will be saved for your next visit.

Logistics and Changes

What happens if I cannot attend the reserved date? If you notify us at least 7 days in advance, we will give you a voucher for the value of the workshop so you can choose another date. If the notice is later, unfortunately we will not be able to make the exchange or return, since the materials and space will have been reserved for you.

Can I send someone else in my place? Sure! If you can’t come, you can give your place to a friend or family member. You just have to tell us the workshop, date and person who comes in your place.

What happens if a piece breaks in the kiln? Ceramics is a living art and, although we take all the care in the world, sometimes pieces can crack or break during firing. If this happens with a piece of yours, we will look for the best solution so that you are not left without the memory of your experience.
